Read Write Grow fulfills the suggested spending of ARRA funds by providing new opportunities for students to use high-quality, online courseware as supplemental learning materials for meeting language arts requirements under Title I, Part A and IDEA Part B.Read Write Grow satisfies the ARRA principle outlined in IDEA, Part B of obtaining and providing training in the use of state-of-the-art assistive technology devices to enhance access to the general curriculum for students with disabilities.
Read Write Grow is a comprehensive electronic literacy, writing, and assessment program for students with disabilities. Read Write Grow allows students to read and write using non traditional methods including switches computer access tools, speech generating devices and picture symbol supports. It has been designed to meet the needs all student abilities utilizing AbleNet’s quality assistive technologies when needed. The electronic assessment module provides immediate feedback to the student and tracks baseline data to increased achievement to meet AYP and IEP requirements.
